Human Resource Department


Human Resources department of Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) was established in 2010. Prior to that, human resource matters were managed by Administration Department. It is a pivotal department that deals with planning, directing and coordinating human resource management activities of PVTC to maximize strategic use of human resources. The department administers Compensation, Employee Benefits, Performance Management System and matters regarding career progression along with professional development of the employees. HR department ensures regulatory compliance throughout the system to maintain its sustainability and smooth functioning.

The department deals with the entire service life of an employee from recruitment to retirement coupled with organizational structure and reporting line. It assists PVTC management regarding matters of the policy/regulation formation pertaining to service, transfer/posting, disciplinary action, compensation and benefits administration, hiring and firing, training and development, performance appraisal, promotions and demotions, management of service book and personal files of employees and recommends changes if required.

The department also provides guidance and advice to employees regarding policy matters such as equal employment opportunities, anti-harassment matters and compliance related legal matters. Other aspects of departmental functions consist of analysis, modification and implementation of benefit policies to establish competitive programs, identification of vacancies, recruitment and salary review process of PVTC.
