

YES Network Pakistan and Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) Signed a
Memorandum of Understanding for Introducing and institutionalizing the concept
of Youth Social Entrepreneurship in Vocational Training Institutes of PVTC
YES Network Pakistan and Punjab Vocational Training Council signed today a
Memorandum of Understanding to begin a formal partnership that will integrate
the concept of youth social entrepreneurship into Vocational Training Institutes
of PVTC. The MOU signing ceremony was held at the PVTC head office. The MOU was
signed by Mr. Faisal Ijaz Khan, Chairman Punjab Vocational Training Council and
Mr. Ali Raza Khan, Chief Executive Officer, YES Network Pakistan. This joint
initiative will help young people to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes they
need to start their own social enterprises.
“Through the
Youth Enterprise Generator program, our long-term goal is to inspire and equip
young people to become agents of positive change through their involvement in
civil society, economic development and their communities.” said CEO of YES
Network Pakistan, Mr. Ali Raza Khan.
“PVTC is proud to launch this program to help the disadvantaged youth to set new
direction of their working careers. Our role is to provide young people with the
tools they need to play positive and constructive roles within Pakistani
society.”
Youth Engagement Services (YES) Network Pakistan is a legally registered
non-profit organization. YES Network Pakistan has played a pioneer role in
introducing the concepts of youth service and youth social entrepreneurship in
the country. It has trained and engaged youth and youth serving institutions in
designing and implementation of youth-led service projects. YES Network Pakistan
has pioneered the concept of treating disadvantaged youth living in low-income
communities “as a solution, not as a problem” in the country.
