Role of Institute Advisory Boards ::
To implement purposeful training program, it was considered imperative that
private sector be actively involved. For this purpose independent Institute
Advisory Boards (IABs) were formed to assist in establishment and management of
VTIs. These IABs have been sufficiently empowered to select relevant trades,
effectively manage the institutions, monitor the quality of training, facilitate
on the job training and placement of pass outs.
PVTC is proud to have a voluntary corps of 133 IABs, as each board
consists of 2 -6 members, who represent various walks of life (that is industry,
business, former bureaucrats, professionals, educationist, agriculturists) and
devote their time and efforts for day to day management of VTIs
